MANITOWOC SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER ELECT
MY VIEWS

I believe that our country and civilization are at a crossroads. Too many good men and women have sat on the sidelines for too long and have allowed many of our institutions to be overrun by a small but loud minority of people who have an agenda that is hurting our nation and our children. Knowingly or not, they are destroying our country. They ignore facts and thrive on propaganda driven through their bullhorn mainstream media and big tech social media platforms that does not reflect the true majority and where many opposing views are censored or limited to controlled opposition. For a long time, I just wanted to mind my own business and live free but now we are at a tipping point where I feel I need to take action, or my children may very well witness the end of America as we know it. I am guilty of not getting involved earlier but now believe that the Lord is opening this door for me to serve our community.
Our oldest daughters attended Manitowoc Public Schools until 2013. We pulled them out primarily over concerns with the quality of education with the shift to common core and concerns with bullying. I believe that all children in our district should have access to a high quality education and sadly that is not the case today as it once was. I will be the voice for our community and taxpayers that may not have the resources to send their kids to private school or homeschool, but still want them to get a high quality education.
My Christian faith and view of the Bible shapes my world view. I believe there are only two genders, that biological males shouldn’t be competing on girls’ sports teams and that we shouldn’t allow biological males into our daughter’s locker rooms or restrooms.
I believe our focus should be on a measurable quality of education, preparing our youth for a productive adult life after school, an accurate understanding of our constitution, history, and the freedoms we are all guaranteed. I believe that the classroom should be used to educate our children, not indoctrinate them with radical political views. I also believe that we should bring back critical thinking, this needs to be prioritized in our children’s education. I will challenge and fight against any universal masking policy or any potential mandatory vaccine policy as it relates to the coronavirus. I am all about liberty and personal choice on these issues.
I believe my business skills will translate well into a board role. I will have a laser like focus on producing results, finding problems, and fixing them. I will make sure we get to the root cause and ensure we are not wasting time and energy solving for the problem that “isn’t” as I suspect may be how things are done now. I believe the battle for the future of our country starts in our public schools, with parents and patriots reclaiming their authority over what our children are taught. We need to take back control from central planners in DC that hate America and are not accountable to the MPSD constituents.
